G.G. Jung’s concept of ages and what he called the platonic month:
“Transitions between
the aeons always seem to have been melancholy and despairing times, as for

I understand the “Water Bearer” as pouring the waters of consciousness into the people of the 2000 year platonic month of Aquarius. What does that mean?
As Jung
prophesied, ”an epochal shift is taking
place in the contemporary psyche, a reconciliation between the two great
polarities, a union of opposites: a sacred marriage
between the long-dominant but now alienated masculine and the long-suppressed
but
now ascending feminine...We seem to be witnessing, suffering, the birth labor
of a new reality, a new form of human existence, a “child” that would be the
fruit of this great archetypal marriage…”
This mandala expresses the opposites in the black and white snakes (transformation) and the black and white birds (spirit)
…and the dark sky above and light sky below, both paradoxical and unifying the dark and light in human consciousness.
The water bearer, a woman, represents the now ascending feminine and the giver of new life, consciousness.
As Jung has informed us, the concept of a new individual, will emerge in this new platonic month of Aquarius which is proving to us that unlike the 2000 year Christian era in which light came from above, we are now in a transitional dark age, the first 200 years most crucial.
“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
C.G. Jung
And so it is our task to be the water bearers of the Aquarian Aeon.
